This is the soundtrack to Tom Cruise's hit movie, a revamp of that 'classic' TV
series, Mission: Impossible. Apart from a replay of the original theme all
the rest of the music is by Batman composer Danny Elfman.
On the whole the music is atmospheric stuff, intense and punchy, with plenty
of woodwinds, brass and percussion. Not having seen the film I can't say how
effective it is as a soundtrack, however most of the music on this CD stands up to
being listened blind. And I'm sure that fans of Elfman's scores will find it very
impressive.
