Tunes From The Toons: The Best Of Hanna-Barbara

Just short of 50 tracks on this rather original release from Music Club. As
you might well have gathered, it contains original music from the likes of
Flintstones, Penelope Pitstop, Wacky Races, Yogi Bear,
Scooby Doo, Top Cat and Dastardly and Mutley. There are a few that I
aren't too familiar with such as Yakky Doodle, Secret Squirrel and Snooper
and Blabber. Bear in mind that this album is purely and simply a novelty, and treated
as such, would probably come in useful for sound bites for a whole manner of things. There
are a few short bursts of intro, there's main themes, and background music
that you can kind of half-recognise. As I said, it's just a bag of fun, and
I wouldn't expect it to get any nominations at the Brit Awards - although...
I wonder.
